8 years
I re-discovered my old weblog tonight. Its last entry was dated July 3rd, 2004, more than 8 years ago. It’s not my very first blog, that lived on Xanga and was way more personal than even this emo-filled diary was. I love reading my old writing, even if I spend most of the time cringing at some of my thoughts and grammatical errors. Still, I admire that between the ages of 24 and 28, I had what seemed to be a far more interesting life that I do now.
Funny how that happens.
The above photo is from St. Louis, MO which I visited last week for work. It’s from the Anheuser-Busch brewery. After my work meetings, I stayed to hang out with my high school friend T. She recently quit her job as a pharmacist and moved to the States to be with her husband who got a great promotion. She’s now living as a stay-at-home-mom with a 4-year-old and a newborn baby. She seems happy but if you asked her, back in 2004, what she would be doing in 2012, she’d never guess she’d be living in St. Louis, breastfeeding a newborn while surrounded by Republican neighbours.
Funny how that happens.
